BRAND, William George, Private, died 04/09/18, aged 21, enlisted, Saffron Walden, Essex. Service No.33201, East Surrey Regiment, 12th Battalion. Rank: Remembered at Voormezelle Enclosure No. 3 Cemetery. William was the son of George and Elizabeth Brand, of Woodend Green, Henham, Essex. A reference from the war diaries was that at Bois Quarante on 4th September 1918 an early morning attack was planned to begin at 04.00am.
