KING Walter, Son of Frederick C. and Sarah Harriett King, of High Street, Henham.
His brother, Frank, was killed in WWI.
Walter was born in Henham in 1894, his father Frederick was a platelayer for the railway, he was the youngest of four children, Charles born around 1880, Anne 1882 and Frank 1885. Prior to signing up he had worked at Lovecotes Farm, employed by Spencer Collin up to November 1914 from when he was 15. Spencer has provided a reference letter (below) noting he will be sorry to lose him.
