His enlistment states he is married with one child who was born in April 1912, possibly Mary. A second child was born 23 July 1917 at Bishops Stortford and named as Evelyn Phyllis.

Disability Statement not due to military service made 27th Aug 1919.

Casualty form shows he embarked from Folkstone to Rouen on 20th Aug. 1917 and was at Etaples and Ypres Front and finally returned on 16th Mar. 1919. Found to be suffering from enteritis in 1919
